In August 2013, we put together a nice 5 day loop which included a large chunk of the Uintas Highline trail. This is a nice place for solitude and pretty views. While we saw traces people wherever we went (mainly trash, toilet paper), we actually only encountered one other person. This was the first trip in which we decided to change routes on the fly due to our original path being very exposed above tree line and a large storm rolling in. We decided to take a lower route through a valley which allowed us to put in more miles, but finish a day early. It worked out perfectly because we were able to use the extra day to visit Arches National Park.
While the scenery and solitude were nice and this area may be great for viewing wildlife, I do not know if I would visit again. I think you could probably get more bang for your buck elsewhere.
